Okay everyone,  so continuing on from  last weeks Skylander Portal Cake this was my son’s second cake for his seemingly month long birthday celebrations! 

 Now if you follow me on Facebook you would know that I had a Migraine knock me out for 36 hours this week – so I'm happy with what I still managed to churn out on the rest of the cake ! Lots of crazy errors made (I mean loads of what was I thinking moments??) But I am just going to focus what I am happy with. Something I always preach to others, and need to learn to do more of myself. So here it goes....

1) I loved my first 2D character standing head (the topper) most pleased with myself! 

2) My 3 coloured ganached tiers survived the afternoon humidity quite well even though setting was rushed. Oh and if you are not familiar with my signature, that's right that blue cake is Colored Ganache not fondant! Skip to Coloured Ganache Recipe here.

3) I really like my cake board!! 


Now I am thoroughly caked out at the moment so I am not even going to attempt to string many more words together Let's just go with the "A picture Tells a Thousands words" theory. (Any questions please comment below)

Buttercream Recipe for Tropics & Summer

If you live in the  tropics or have warm summers,  you've probably experienced Buttercream fail!  You pipe these beautiful cupcakes with your large star tip, they look awesome... fast forward a couple of hours, you might be having a bbq or a party of some sort,  that is either outdoors or not in air conditioning... Easy Squid Game Dalgona Candy Recipe (No Flame Method.)

□○☆* Last night I ended up helping my 11 Year old daughter to make the latest sweet trend inspired by the Squid Game series, using the available tools in our kitchen. [N.B. She has not seen Squid Game as it is rated MA however all her friends talk about it at school] We searched for some recipes but I wasn't about to use a ladle on a naked flame! So as I do, I played around to see what I could use with the existing equipment in my kitchen. ☆  Tip the smaller the frying pan the better. The mixture was so much easier when I switched to the  small 1 egg sized mini frying pan. (see video further down) There were a few fails. If you try this, don't despair at the wonky, burnt or set too fast ones. You must work quickly so naturally some  mishaps will occur. But after you get the hang of it the process becomes really easy!
